Petrovietnam Enhances U.S. Energy Collaborations for Oil and LNG Projects

Vietnam's state-owned Petrovietnam is actively expanding its collaboration with U.S. energy companies in various sectors, including oil and gas exploration, LNG, and power generation. A delegation led by General Director Le Manh Cuong recently participated in meetings and forums during a visit to the U.S., aimed at advancing significant projects and diversifying energy sources.
Key discussions involved the development of the Lac Da Vang oilfield and the Hai Su Vang field, with a focus on resource assessment and infrastructure optimization. Agreements were signed to facilitate oil production and commercialization, supporting the marketing of millions of barrels of oil and gas through 2039.
Additionally, Petrovietnam signed a framework agreement with Chevron to enhance cooperation in crude oil and LNG supply, as well as technology for energy storage and emissions reduction. This partnership aims to improve Petrovietnam's response to market fluctuations and supply challenges.
